Only two weeks to go..
We have to submit our final version of short film to the tropfest in two weeks. I just started editing, however, with a lot of pressures of assignments. The films must include the annual Tropfest Signature Item. I remember that last year's item was umbrella. and this year?

BUBBLE!!
um... synopsis of our short film is 'the interview with a suicide bomber.' Don't you wanna know how did we put the bubble within this film? haha Finding bubble in the short film is one of funny things in Tropfest, i think.
Anyway, hope the post-production will finish soon, and just waiting good result.

by the way,, arhhhhhhhhhh too many assignments!!!!!

Making Short Film

I and my friends, we made a plan to make short film for Tropfest 2006.
and finally today, we had a main shooting for 7mins film.
It took whole day, however, we had a lot of fun with our crews and actors.
At unnamed park, in paddington, we set up our props and read script again and again.
Because of the weather, that was terrible; windy and cloudy, and too loud airplane noise, we had to wait longlong time then resume again.
But we had real fun!

Good bye Edwin!
He is a japanese-brazilian, one of my sharemates, a nice, funny and real gentle guy, who really loves party.
Now, i have only 3 more days to see him, cause he'll go back to Brazil.
I hate this 'say-goodbye' situation. it's so sad, and there is no guarantee to meet again blah blah blah...
He's gonna be my 18th friend, who used to live my place together, then go back to their country.
but I really enjoyed to live with Edwin, it makes me more sad.
when i have problems or stresses, i used to talk with him, even there are another Korean sharemates.
don't know why, but Edwin makes me feel ease. He is really comfortable person to be with.
Anyway, now i'm making surprise present for Edwin.
by using photos, which we took while we're staying togeda, i'll make short but touching music video.
i'll make him cry a lot! haha
i'll miss you Edwin. please take care!

The Island

I saw a movie called Island. lovely actress Scarlett Johansson played main character. =)
It was about cloning humans.
People made clones to offer organs when their guest become sick. When people needed organs, they lied to clones that they were going to be sent to the island, and took the organs out of the clones. what a brilliant idea!
But, I thought that cloning was a very scary, cruel, inhumane idea. Even I wonder I have a clone of mine. Because of very simple reason that I need someone who can do my assignment instead of me. haha
Anyway, will humans really get to clone humans in the future?
I thought that if it works just like this film, it is very scary that it can happen to us in the future. as long as the clones can feel everything, it's so inhumanity again.
what if this world is just one part of clone' world? what if there is a real kay somewhere? wow, i have to stop smoking then excercise more? to be a heathy people? geeee

11th December 2005.

I cannot forget the day because I controlled a camera in front of 2000 people at the Olympic Park Charles Moses Stadium. Famous Korean singers came and had a huge concert. It was mission concert for the christian "in the name of the God."

Actually, I'm not a fully "christian", but somehow, I joined the christian organisation, called KOSTA (KOrean STudent Abroad) Australia, then prepare the 10th Kosta; Mission concert as a camera person. I'm not a christian so that it was really hard time for me because I had to pray with them and act like them. My amateur camera skill was not a big problem at that time.

Anyway, there was another big problem that the main singer of this concert has a bad reputation among Korean people. Almost people know about the system of Korean military services that Korean men must go and do their duty in their 20s. But this singer betrayed public and gained the American citizenship just before go to military service. After that Korean people started to hate this singer, at last the government doesn't allow him to come to Korea. Before that problem happend, he was the best singer in Korea. Almost Korean people loved him, of course I was one of them. He is really strong christian by the way.

The name of the God, christians wanted to save and forgive him by following the bible "He who is without sin among you, let him throw the first stone at her (John 8:7)."

We worried about the concert because of the singer's problem and the huge scle of concert stadium where 5000 people can seat. We had a plan to cancle all of this event, however, the singer really wanted to have a concert because 1000 people already bought the tickets. Ultimately we changed the palce to small stadium then decided to keep doing this.

Well.. now all successfully finished but I cannot forget every single moment of the concert. It was really good opportunity to develop my careear as a cameraman.

Mission concert

I have to prepare it during the rehearsal =(

After finish this huge event, I'll write the review of this concert.

Lightning

I never expected that I can take the lightning! I used vx2000 though. =)

Anyway, it was the the most exciting experience ever!

Around 10pm last night, I thought there are another fireworks outside to celebrate new Australian Idol. But it was not.

It was "Lightning Flash!"

I ran out to the balcony with my camera then I just wait, wait, wait, wait and wait......

30 minutes later, finally I captured two lovely lightning moments above the UTS tower building.

and.. there it is!!!

Korean Film Festival 2005 has successfully finished at Dendy Opera Quay Cinema. The Korean Film Festival presented four of the most highly acclaimed films to come out of Korea in the past two years; "Untold Scandal", "Crying Fist", "Marathon" and "Hello Goodbye Little Brother."

This festival was a good opportunity in order to introduce Korean contemporary, historical culture and society to the Australian audiences. The free tickets for screening has sold out immediately which provided by the Internet homepage. In the last day of the Film Festival, many of foreign spectators were moved to tears when “Hello Goodbye Little Brother” was showing.
